Minion Munchies :)

I enjoyed this class for a few reaons. First of all, it's nice coming in and being able to sit in a comfy chair. Second, it's a relaxing and relatively easy. Third, I enjoyed having you as a teacher. I've already recommended this class to a couple of friends. Although photoshop wasn't one of my favorite things to do, I think once I got used to it, it wasn't that bad. I enjoyed doing the movie trailer because working in groups is always fun and they all came out to be pretty interesting. Overall, I had a good semester in this class. See ya kids and have a good summer Mrs. Blevins :)

Welcome to my blog entry

My name is Erin Reed. I was born and raised in Merriam, Kansas. I enjoy going on adventures and driving around for fun. I believe my friends would say that I’m enthusiastic and outgoing. You could say my life has been a long rollercoaster ride with a lot of ups and downs, but at this point in life I’m pretty happy. I don’t enjoy school at all. I don’t like the atmosphere or the huge amount of inconsiderate kids. I like history and English because those are my strong points. I don’t necessarily like science and I definitely don’t like math. I enjoy learning in groups and visually, but I’m also a good independent learner. I hope to accomplish school and a career. Once I’ve done that I will start a family and begin advancing in life. I plan to just go with the flow wherever life takes me. Although I don’t know what I want to do with life yet, I plan to do many things and travel a lot.

To live forever...

In reading Kurzweil's article, the most intriguing thing to me is that it is possible that we will develop enough medical science to "live forever". Although this might sound great to some people, I'd have to disagree. Who wants to live forever? Life's purpose is to grow and become someone and then one day be remembered for the person you were. There will also be many other problems, such as overpopulation and everything that comes along with that. Even if we were to develop that kind of medical science, I think it will definitely take longer than predicted.

Google Glass

Yet another technological advance, Google Glass.
 The idea of Google Glass is to make things easier around you.
I think it's a cool idea, but I wouldn't depend on it.
 I feel that as technology grows, people are going to rely more and more on these kind of things.
 I think they should make a smaller device, rather than glasses and it would be more useful.
Personally, I'm not a tech-savy person. I'd rather find things on my own and do things for myself.
If I ever used one of these, I would probably have fun with it for about an hour and not be interested anymore.

The Hummingbird

This picture reflects the tattoo I want to get of a hummingbird feeding off of a flower. The hummingbird can represent many things. My representation is focused on the hummingbirds energy and ability to overcome hardships. I can relate to this any many ways, as I have had to overcome multiple hardships in life already while continuing to be better and move on.If I have learned anything it's that no matter the situation you're in, it will always get better at some point in time. 

I couldn't find a theme to represent the colors I want, but I will most likely have a variety of light blue, purple, and green. The reason for the flower, being that a hummingbird must feed off a flower to survive. A flower can also represent feminine qualities.

Blockbuster Video Response

Although Netflix is great, I think that Blockbuster is necessary too. Some people actually enjoy getting out and going to a movie store to rent a movie. Not everyone wants to sit at home and pull up instant watch. Blockbuster was before Netflix, which is most likely why people don't use it as much. Technology is advancing and will continue to advance and one day there's probably going to be something even better than Netflix. I personally don't like how technology is advancing. It's cool, but people are letting it take over their lives. I enjoy Netflix, but sometimes it's nice to go out, grab some pizza and a movie and go back home to watch it. People should mix it up a bit. Go out more, enjoy the world and stray away from the computer!
